Born & raised Ketchikan, I moved home *temporarily* 10 years ago when God had other plans and introduced me to my best friend/life partner Derek! Now we're happily rooted here for the forseeable future with our two kiddos and furbaby where they have wonderful grandparents to teach them about our beautiful rainforest and fishing and all the things. I grew up in the local Assembly of God Church; I come from godly parents and generations of pastors & missionaries (Africa). I happily serve our community as a behavioral health therapist and volunteer.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  - 2 Peter 3:9

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for my salvation, and that I will spend eternity with Him. His Peace is my strength. I have been happily married to Jim, and we just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not harm you.  Plans to give you a hope and a future.  - Jeremiah 19:11

Carrie moved to Ketchikan to take classes at the college, met her husband and has now been here for nearly 24 years!  She loves spending time with her family, hiking in the woods with her dogs, cooking (and messing with recipes), working in her yard and learning new things.  She's been loving Jesus for as long as she can remember.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I moved here as a teenager in the early 90’s and Ketchikan has been home ever since. In the past I have had the privilege of working with youth and young adults, including people who experience developmental disabilities. I currently work as a dispatcher for the Alaska Marine Highway System. I am blessed to be married to the amazing and talented Arlene Corrao! We recently bought a house, and we’re settling into domestic bliss with our cat and dog.
We should not make it difficult for those who are turning to God. - Acts 15:19

Peter Epler

Peter has been in ministry for 16 years and counts it a blessing to have  served nearly 10 of those years here - in this  amazing community!  In his spare time he loves to explore nature and participate in local theater!  His wife, Shelly, is involved in the community band program and enjoys indoor activities away from bugs.  Two kids keep the house full of energy.

I am a long time Ketchikan resident, and I love the ocean.  I love living near my kids and my grandkids.  I have a fantastic group of women that meet for prayer weekly and we lift up one another, as well as our churches and community.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  - Romans 8:28

I am the finance clerk for the City of Saxman during the week, a crocheter and quilter on the weekends.  I've been married to my amazing husband Wayne for going on 14 years and we are blessed to have his mom living with us.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  - James 1:17

Katie Parrott

Katie came to Ketchikan after high school and after two years made Alaska her forever home by marrying a fisherman.  She and Jim now have three awesome kids, Grace (16), Reuben (12) and Ian (9) to fish with.  She is the Business Manager for the Ketchikan School District, and loves coffee, Alaska politics, and number crunching.  Her life path is 110% a work of God's providence and lovingkindness.
